In an official statement about this partnership, Hugo Games’ CEO Henrik Kølle said:
Vikings, a historical drama TV series which just completed its fourth season, is inspired by the stories of Ragnar Lothbrok – a legendary hero and a notorious scourge of England and France. It is based on real historical events and figures. Ragnar, a former farmer, becomes king of Denmark and works to provide for his family and his country.
We don’t currently have any information about what sort of plot we can expect from this game or how precisely it will tie into the TV show. But expect more details soon. The Vikings game is planned to be released in 2018 for Android, iOS, and Steam.
