The scheduled start time for the broadcast is Friday, August 26, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. (PDT) and will feature content ranging from sneak peaks of the next content patch for Final Fantasy XIV to the Producer/Director, Naoki Yoshida, personally visiting a random server live on stream. There will also be a concurrent event streamed alongside the main event which will star Final Fantasy XIV Assistant Director, Hiroshi Takai. An important footnote included in the announcement states, however, that the event will only be available with Japanese audio. The schedule for the event has been posted, which you may view below.
This is not the first time that the developers have shared in the celebration of their creation. As previously mentioned, there was a similar 14-Hour broadcast last year as well. If you are curious what to expect with the upcoming live stream you can see the unedited broadcast of the previous event on the official Final Fantasy XIV twitch channel here.
Final Fantasy XIV is currently celebrating Moonfire Faire and is available now on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Mac.
